This concept is inspired by the ‘perfect wall’ strategy popularized by Joseph Lstiburek. The ‘perfect wall’ approaches a building envelope like a thermos, which inspired this expression of a metal shell. We cracked open and carved out the shell to expose warmer and softer materials. The plan is efficient and simple with a bright two story artery separating morning heavy spaces and night heavy spaces.
